How do lawyers help?

Criminal defense lawyers can work with you to protect your rights.

We understand that it is important for our clients to feel safe, and we provide reliable advice and guidance throughout your case.

We also strive to help our clients achieve a positive resolution as quickly as possible so they can move on with their lives.

Sometimes that is easier said than done. Our system of justice can be laborious and slow.

Because of that, we explain from the outset how the court system in Raleigh works and what you should expect.

When is the best time to hire a lawyer?

If you are facing criminal charges, it is important to seek legal advice as soon as possible. The sooner you contact a criminal defense lawyer, the sooner we can begin to build your case.

Even if you think that a conviction is inevitable, defenses may be available or options that we can explore.

We are here for you!

At our law firm in Raleigh, we recognize how difficult and overwhelming criminal proceedings can be for our clients.

Researching legal matters, reviewing discovery, and preparing court documents takes time.

That’s why we think it makes sense to retain legal counsel immediately.

Should I wait to call a lawyer for DWI changes until after the holiday?

No, you should contact a criminal defense lawyer as soon as possible.

DWI charges are serious, and the consequences can be severe. You need to make sure that you have an experienced lawyer fighting for your rights from the outset.

Additionally, delaying assistance may hurt your case in the long run – which is why we recommend taking action immediately instead of waiting until after the holidays or other celebrations.

Are there defenses to criminal charges?

Yes, there are often valid defenses to criminal charges.

Obviously, each case and what took place is different and no one can make any promises.

There is one thing for sure.  Failing to plan and explore your options isn’t a good idea.  Lawyers help people through difficult times – John Fanney, Criminal Defense Lawyer

Depending on the facts of your case, your lawyer may be able to negotiate a favorable plea agreement with the prosecution or argue for a dismissal of all charges.

No matter what type of criminal charge you face, an experienced and knowledgeable criminal defense lawyer can help make sure your rights are protected.

Do you take payments?

Yes, we do.

At the Fanney Law Firm, we understand that financial circumstances vary and regularly work with clients to find an arrangement they can afford.

A lot depends on the nature and circumstances of the charges.

The good news is, we do not charge for legal consultations on criminal matters.

If you call us to see how we may be able to help, you will NOT receive an invoice or bill for your time during that consultation.

If we think we can help and we’re able to work out payment arrangements that’s when you’ll get a bill.

We don’t want legal costs to prevent anyone from getting the defense they deserve, so please reach out to us if you need assistance.
